Terracotta warms rooms with cold light and suits entries, dining rooms and living rooms with wood floors. Full Marigold, blooms drawn large on cream, belongs in a kitchen or an entry hall. Clay Stars, rust and clay on chalky cream, suits a bedroom. Petal Tiles, forest green and ochre interlocking, goes in a den.

Picking between the designs

Painted: the three murals, which differ in texture more than colour; Canyon Wash is broad and horizontal, Clay Wash is layered with a palette knife, Ember Plaster collides with gold leaf. Drawn: Full Marigold, Clay Stars, Petal Tiles, all repeats that can paper a room. Then how much orange: Full Marigold is nearly all orange; Clay Stars and Petal Tiles use it as one colour among three. If the room already has terracotta tiles or rust textiles, Clay Stars echoes them without doubling them.
