State of the Wall started in New York in 2026, when Kelsey Helm and Reilly Renwick decided a wall deserved the same treatment as a stage set or a well-kept room: a story, and some care. We release patterns in Movements rather than seasons, keep five collections of roughly fifty to a hundred designs live at any time, and put every candidate through the same four questions before it goes on sale.

Printing happens in Mesa, Arizona. Nothing sits in stock; each order is run when it is placed.

Three finishes: a standard Peel & Stick, a thicker Luxe Peel & Stick, and Luxe Traditional, which is a paste-the-wall non-woven.

Indoors and out of direct sun, the self-adhesive finishes hold for ten years or more; heat and sunlight are what loosen adhesive over time. Luxe Traditional is a ten to fifteen year paper. We make no promises about outdoor use.

Smooth, painted walls are the safe bet. Light texture usually works, heavy texture usually does not, and paint finishes differ enough between houses that we ask you to test a sample on your actual wall before ordering the full run.

Screens misrepresent colour and paint varies from room to room. A sample on your wall settles both questions, and it confirms the adhesive takes on that surface.

Peel slowly from a top corner, keeping the sheet low and close to the wall as it comes away. The full method for each finish is in our guides.

Applied and removed with care they should not, though older paint and unprimed drywall can fleck. Pull slowly, expect at most a small touch-up, and note that we cannot cover damage that happens during hanging or removal.

Orders go to print almost immediately, so a change or cancellation cannot be guaranteed once the order is placed. Message us straight away and we will do what we can.

Production takes two to seven business days, and you receive a tracking number as soon as the label is made. Sale weeks can add a day or two.

Panels are cut to continue a specific pattern, so extras have to be matched to your original order rather than pulled from a shelf. Contact us and we will set up a matching print.
