Choosing nature wallpaper

Where it works

Nature designs suit the rooms where you want to rest your eyes: a bedroom, a stairwell, a living room with a view you wish were better. The misty forest murals, Hidden Firs, Cloud Line and Emerald Fog, run their trunks vertical and sit their mist low, so they add height and belong on a staircase wall or a tall landing. Moth Meadow, moths and night-blooming flowers on deep forest green, is a repeat and will wrap a study or a dining room. Dune Scene, a teal toile on cream, is the light option for a bedroom.

Picking between the designs

Forest, shore or desert. Forest: Hidden Firs, Cloud Line, Emerald Fog, Deep Pines in teal and indigo, Stitched Trees with embroidered texture, Quiet Valley, Lone Pine. Shore: Dune Scene, Harbour Sketch, Beach Finds, the Watercolor Collector's Shell, Foam Crest, Blue Shore. Desert: Desert Dusk with its low horizon. Then how much of the wall the subject covers: Cloud Line distributes its trees evenly with no single subject, so it takes interruptions well; Lone Pine and Quiet Valley each hang on one tree, so decide where it falls. The murals are single scenes for one wall; Moth Meadow, the toiles and the shell designs repeat.
